Yoga
Yoga is a classical Indian science or system dealing with well being in mind, body and spirit. It has been studied and practiced for over 3000 years. Yoga is not a belief or religion, but is a practical philosophy, a science involving every aspect of a person’s being. It is the union of the body, mind and breath that repairs, maintains and aids in the growth of the individual through the development of self-discipline and self-awareness.
Regular practice of Yoga enhances all aspects of one's life. There are many benefits;every muscle strengthens, stretches and becomes more flexibile. Yoga tones the entire body, increases self-confidence, develops balance and coordination, helps correct bad postural habits, increases lung capacity and enables one to breathe more fully. Yoga also teaches one to recognize tension in the body. The meditation, relaxation and breathing techniques enable one to release hidden tension and to open up tight areas. The yoga postures stretch out the chronically tight areas and restore proper blood flow to the muscles.
