Yoga is a classical Indian science or system dealing with well being in mind, body and spirit. It has been studied and practiced for over 3000 years. Yoga is not a belief or religion, but is a practical philosophy, a science involving every aspect of a personís being. It is the union of the body, mind and breath that repairs, maintains and aids in the growth of the individual through the development of self-discipline and self-awareness.
First started in March, 2006, Bruce McCorry's began offering a course in yoga, taught by Robyn Kaan. Robyn Kaan, in conjunction with her mother Gloria Kaan, had designed a yoga course which encompasses a combination of Hatha Yoga, Power Yoga, and Meditation. They have studied and taught all forms of dance, self-defense, calisthenics, pilates, weight training, fencing, modeling, hypnosis, and nutrition for over 50 years. Together they have given seminars in the aforementioned, done countless personal appearances, radio and television throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. With their television programs and health clubs, they have educated and taught exercises and health for body symmetry and firness. When queried as to which exercise is most beneficial in their opinion, they agreed Yoga is the easiest life-sytle change.
Their system of Yoga Combinations is ideal for beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. Their disciples, followers of this 5000 year old discipline, have learned mental and physical release from stress through body alignment, proper breathing, stretching, and meditative techniques. These "age old" techniques create longevity, a fit body, and a stress free atmosphere, in spite of the 21st century demands.
